I
have been a counselor for many years, working with people of
all ages. My basic philosophy during that time was that
everyone is creative resourceful and whole, there is nothing
that needs to be fixed.
I still
believe that and approach each of my Life Coaching clients
with the same conviction.
In addition
to my counseling work, for twenty years I managed a restaurant
at a high end country club and ski resort, and have run two
successful businesses of my own.
The longer I
have been a coach and counselor, the more I have learned to
trust my intuition - and the more that has rewarded me. This I
attribute to being an effective listener. Being of a very
optimistic nature, when I became aware of and began to explore
the field of coaching, I was excited by the possibilities it
held for transforming lives; whether that is someone who has invested years in graduate degrees and
is unhappy
with where they are, or someone who is unfulfilled in their
career or relationships, or any number of other reasons.
A quote I
particularly resonate with is by Anne Frank.
“Everyone
has inside himself a piece of good news! The good news is that
you really don’t know how good you can be, how much you can
love, what you can accomplish, and what your potential is.”
It’s my goal
to help everyone I work with uncover their potential for love,
accomplishment, and the good they want to create in their
lives and in the world.
