Life Coaching
differs from therapy and consulting in several respects.
Fundamentally the client is seen as creative resourceful and
whole. There is nothing that needs to be fixed, nothing that
is broken mentally or emotionally. The Life Coach doesn’t come into
the relationship with all the answers - or with any of the
answers for that matter. The power as I see it is contained in
the questions I’m able to ask and in so doing move the client
to a completely new and exciting place in his or her life. Nor
do I, using Life Coaching techniques, come into the relationship with the power.
The power in Life Coaching is in the alliance which is created between Life
Coach and client and is in the relationship itself.
That said,
Life Coaching is based in the present with the invitation of
constantly moving forward.
Coaching, by
its very name, implies that a person is "coach-able."
There will often be times when the client is asked to do
something between sessions.
Life Coaching is
done in four thirty minute sessions per month, with e-mail if
needed between sessions. Since Life Coaching clients don’t get into
story telling, the content of the sessions tends to be very
focused and a lot of ground can be covered in just a short
amount of time.
| Ernie has helped me
to see what tools to use to allow my dreams to come
true. He took a stand for me when I couldn't see for
myself, things that were possible for me. My Life
Coaching experience with Ernie has shown me I could
attract things to me. I'm left knowing
I am a creator here on this planet! Thank you Ernie,
forever grateful!
